The Carruth Center works together with other staff at WELLWVU and other University departments to promote optimal student mental health.

We work with Student Wellness and Health Promotion to train Safe Zone members and provide a sensitive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning students at WVU.

We also work together to coordinate the activities of the Hypnosis Study Group, in which various health professional can learn more about hypnosis and its various applications to different clinical populations.

To provide student services for WVU athletes, we work with psychologists in the Performance Psychology/Sport Psychology program.

Student-Athlete Wellness Sport Psychology

The Carruth Center Student Assistance Program and Student Wellness and Health Promotion coordinate meetings for Alcoholics Anonymous to provide services for students with alcohol abuse problems.

Promoting Optimal Student Mental Health

The Carruth Center and Student Wellness and Health Promotion work together to promote optimal student mental health. We also work together to train Safe Zone members and coordinate the activities of the WVU Hypnosis Study Group. Psychologists in the Performance Psychology/Sport Psychology program provide student services for WVU athletes.
